During a press conference on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced 64 new cases of COVID-19 in the province and one death in the Calgary zone. 

It was also confirmed today that 77 health care workers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Alberta. 

The total number of cases in the province is now 754. Dr. Hinshaw says that they believe that 75 of these total cases were contracted from community transmission. "This is concerning." 

Nine cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the Cochrane/Springbank area.
