Cochrane's young country singer with the big country voice, Sydney Mae, continues to rise.

The 15 year old, Bow Valley High student just finished performing for the fourth year at Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, AB.

Mae played for the Songwriters' stage on Thursday, as well as the ATB Stage for both Thursday and Friday.

Mae says the experience is amazing.

"This year was a little bit different for me because I got to play on the Songwriters' Stage and the Songwriters' Tent which was super cool, it was brand new for me this year. I loved every minute, and hoping that I can go back next year."

Mae performed alongside Josh Ruzycki, Hailey Benedict, Kaleigh Jo kirk, and Tennile on the Thursday evening for the Junior Songwriters' Showcase which she says was a great experience.

"We had a pretty good turn out and we were really, really excited how that went and that feeling was just super cool to be a part of that."

Mae also just released her first EP 'So I Sing' on Thursday July 28, and it is  already climbing the charts on iTunes.

"We reached number 14 on the first day of releasing on the iTunes chart for country album."

Mae credits the work to her Producer Mike Little.

"He was so much more than a producer, he completely just made everything possible on that. I owe 100% of that album to him, he fulfilled my dream of creating some honest music and sharing real stories with people."

The EP has more of an acoustic vibe and Mae says she is absolutely thrilled to share her voice and music with the world.

"It's my first EP, my first opportunity to share my music with people, I am fortunate that they (people) are enjoying it."
