Cochrane continues to have six active cases of COVID-19, and that's good news on the face mask front.

Rocky View County, though, saw their number of active cases jump to 27 from 21 during the July 29 update.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, chief medical officer of health, said there were 113 new active cases identified in the province, none of which were here. Ninety-one people have been hospitalized across the province and 18 are being treated in intensive care units.

Five more Albertans died, bringing the total to 195.

On July 29, town council passed a bylaw that will make face masks mandatory in indoor public places should our number of active cases rise to 10 or more.
