The band programs at Cochrane's three high schools are the recipients of the Golden West Broadcasting Canadian Content Development (CCD) grant.

Cochrane's radio station CKXY-FM 91.5 CochraneNow made a donation of $3,200 to each of the schools to help benefit their band programs.

All three Principals say the money is coming at a crucial time with an increased need to purchase additional equipment to decrease the number of students sharing instruments as well as making sure there is sufficient PPE available for the music students as well as the equipment.

The CCD funding is a financial contribution made by broadcasters to initiatives that help the development and promotion of Canadian musical and spoken word content.
