The beautiful summer-like weather on Saturday made for higher than normal traffic volume on highways near Cochrane.

Cochrane RCMP along with other emergency services personal responded to 25 traffic complaints and collisions on April 17 between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m, three of which involved injuries.

There were two separate single motorcycle crashes that happened along Highway 1A where each driver was transported by EMS to hospital. 

A third collision involved a dirt bike in an off-highway crash near Waiparous. The driver was airlifted by STARS to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. 

RCMP are reminding motorists to be mindful of increased traffic on the roads and to remain attentive. 

They're also reminding drivers of motorcycles and off highway recreational vehicles to continue to use all appropriate safety equipment, including helmets.
