The Cobras are one bite closer to winning Provincials yet again.

A little pre-game warm-up clearing snow didn't hurt the defending two time Provincial Champions in the October 29, Rocky View Schools Football League Final game against Springbank Phoenix.

Robbie McNab, Cochrane Cobras Coach, says the snow and fog didn't stop the team from having a great game.

“We took our team up to the turf field in Cochrane Spray Lakes Legacy Field and we shovelled the whole thing. It was beautiful. It was perfect. A little foggy. I haven't coached in one of those in a long time but other than that it was really good.”

The Cobras laid its venom into its latest victim SpringBank in a 43-0 annihilation. Tae Gordon, quarterback, scored 2 touchdowns and Jackson McLean, running back, scored 1 Touchdown. Dawson Laye, Dawson Price and Daniel de Bruin all caught touchdown passes from Gordon.

McNab says Gordon is an exceptional Quarterback.

“He's arguably the best quarterback in this province right now. He's the provincial U18 (Under 18) Alberta quarterback. Very very talanted kid.”

The Cobras are heading to Provincial Semi Finals against Strathmore Spartans on November 12.
