In the past 24 hours, 7,990 COVID-19 tests have been completed, revealing 49 newly confirmed cases of the virus.

There are currently 489 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, and the past 24 hours saw one more COVID related death.

To date, 152 Albertans have died due to COVID 19, of which 116 were from continuing care facilities.

The province's continuing care facilities continue to be the largest affected by the virus, and currently account for 30 of the 49 active cases across the province.

Hospitalization rates remain low with 34 people currently in hospital, six of whom are in intensive care units.

Rocky View County has had 35 COVID-19 recoveries to date and currently has five active cases.

In total, 6,938 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19, including 17 from the Cochrane -Springbank area.
