Bragg Creek is a special place to visit any time of the year, but at Christmas time the hamlet becomes a sparkly winter wonderland.

Tomorrow, Saturday, December 3, the Spirit of Christmas 2022 is happening from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. in the hamlet of Bragg Creek.

The Bragg Creek Community Association is pleased to be hosting the annual event which will be sure to put people in the Christmas spirit.

The Kids Only Store is set to open at 11 a.m. and that is where kids can go shopping for reasonably priced items for family and friends on their own.  Kim Perraton, general manager of the BCCA says, most items were donated, however, thanks to the generous sponsorship from Bragg Creek’s Little Schoolhouse, the BCCA elves were able to purchase additional items for the store.”

The main event kicks off at noon and will include a mini outdoor market, a food vendor, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving on their sleigh and available for photos. There will also be two horse-drawn wagons delivering people to various places around Bragg Creek.

Perraton is very excited to announce that crews have been working hard to have the outdoor rink ready for operation so folks can enjoy an outdoor skate.

The Spirit of Christmas will officially make Bragg Creek sparkle with the lighting of 11 trees. The main tree outside the Community Centre will be lit first and then at 5:30 ten additional trees will be illuminated to shine throughout the Christmas season.
