The pandemic world is not an easy one for rural residents without highspeed internet. For those wishing to work or learn online it has become a necessity which is hard to access in 2020.

The Bragg Creek Community Centre has set up work spaces with reliable high speed internet for the public to use.

Christine Pollard, Program and Events Manager at the Bragg Creek Community Centre explains. "There are 12 individual pods, if you will, that will have power. It's like a cubicle, so they are completely surrounded, they are very safe."

Pollard says that you can give community centre a call or drop in to arrange a time.

They are signing people up daily, weekly, or monthly. There is a fee for the usage, but Pollard says the feedback has been that it is very reasonable.

She says, "It is $25 per day, $75 for the week, and $250 for the month. We are also investigating getting a subsidy for students because we realize student probably can't afford the daily rate."
