33 additional cases of COVID--19 were reported in Alberta yesterday, which now brings the total number in the province to 259.

Of those cases, 18  are in the hospital and seven of which have been admitted to the intensive care unit. 

The Calgary Zone continues to see the largest number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus with 164 cases, 60 cases are in the Edmonton zone,18 cases in the North zone, 10 confirmed cases in the Central zone and seven cases of COVID-19 in the South zone

The number of confirmed COVID-19 recoveries remains at three, and to date, one person has died in the province.

The Alberta government is reminding the public that the most important measures that Albertans can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19, is to practise good hygiene and social distancing.
