A $10,000 fundraising goal has been set for Friday night's Pink in the Rink game of the U15 AA Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves are hosting the Airdrie Lightning in this special annual game to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. It kicks off at 7:15 p.m. in Totem One of the SLS Centre.

"The players will be dressed in full pink uniforms, and we've got lots of prizes in our silent auction, we've got raffles, we've got a 50-50, a special puck drop ceremony, and all proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society," says parent volunteer Paul Ringrose.

There'll also be QR codes available at Totem One to make donations.

"We're really hoping that tomorrow night we're going to get a lot of people participating in those events and raise some money for this charity."

Already, bids have been coming in for an impressive list of silent auction items. Among them are accommodations in Banff, golf packages, Flames tickets, and a Flames jersey signed by members of this year's team.

Bidding closes on Friday, Nov. 17 at 9 p.m. You can place your bids here.
